Friday 16/07/2021 was the seventh data acquisition day for PLP2021. Sentinel 2 multispectral data of the two large area targets were acquired, along with very high-resolution images from a DJI Phantom 4 pro drone. Metadata collection included wind speed and direction and turbidity using a Secchi disk, along with spectrometer hyperspectral measurements using an Oceanoptics Flame mini spectrometer (200-900 nm). Visual inspection revealed no further damage to the targets after the minor adjustments of last week’s field day. Biofouling accumulation is becoming even more denser day by day, covering larger areas of the HDPE target and effectively changing the colour of the white HDPE mesh. Biofouling accumulations are now becoming visible on the wooden target also. Conditions were calm, with low winds and no cloud cover over the deployment area.
