On Tuesday the 11th of October 2022, we officially wrapped up the Plastic Litter Project 2022, with all targets being removed from the water. Samples were taken from the HDPE mesh target for analysis and evaluation of possible UV degradation and weathering effects. In total we performed 23 data acquisitions, including satellite data from the Sentinel-2 and Pleiades satellites, UAS multispectral, thermal, RGB and hyperspectral data, and ancillary measurements. The whole of the Marine Remote Sensing Group worked towards the completion of the project, with the contribution of the undergraduate students at the school of Marine Sciences being invaluable throughout all the stages of the field campaign. We thank you all and see you next year!
