Exciting Start to PLP2024!

Today marked the first day of PLP2024, and we’re off to a fantastic start! We successfully constructed two new targets, each measuring 1.2 x 25 meters, made from white HDPE mesh and wooden planks. These targets are designed to be thin and long, simulating windrow formations in the water.

Our next steps include testing how these targets behave in the water and adding modular targets to create even larger formations, reaching up to 4.8 x 25 meters and 2.4 x 50 meters.

This year, we’re focusing on the Planet SuperDove satellite, but we’re also excited to gather valuable data for the Sentinel-2 satellite. We’re looking forward to an amazing year of research and discovery!

Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
