Exciting Day at PLP2024!
We’re thrilled to share that today, we successfully deployed two new targets, each measuring 1.2 x 25 meters! These targets, made of white HDPE mesh and wooden planks, are designed to simulate windrow formations and are now ready for action.
Even though the windy conditions made deployment a bit challenging, our team did an amazing job. We’re eagerly anticipating the first data acquisition tomorrow from both the Sentinel-2 and Planet SuperDove satellites.
The targets will stay in their current configuration at least until the next Sentinel-2 acquisition, ensuring we gather plenty of valuable data.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this exciting journey in marine litter detection!
