On a clear day with calm sea conditions (Sea State: 1), we expanded our HDPE mesh targets. A new 2.4 x 25-meter mesh was added, increasing the effective target area to 2.4 x 50 meters. This setup is designed for improved satellite observation of plastic litter.
We also fine-tuned the orientation of the targets against the prevailing winds by adjusting the tethering rope lengths. This ensures better alignment and more accurate satellite tracking and data collection.
