Today marked the 5th Sentinel-2 overpass for the PLP2024 project. As part of our routine inspection, we identified and repaired a broken plank on the wooden target, ensuring its continued stability and effectiveness. We also captured high-resolution UAS RGB images, which will be used for further analysis and monitoring. Despite slightly windy conditions, the skies remained clear, allowing for optimal data collection.
Our 2.4×25 m targets are currently in good condition. However, we have noticed an increase in biofouling on the older HDPE sheet. This buildup will be addressed on Thursday, during which we will also be adding a new set of targets to enhance our monitoring capabilities. Overall, the targets are performing well under the current conditions. We remain committed to maintaining their integrity and functionality as we continue our efforts in the PLP2024 project.
