Today marked the 4th Sentinel-2 overpass for PLP2024. During this session, the targets were thoroughly inspected to ensure their integrity and performance. During the inspection, a loose rope on the wooden planks target was identified and promptly secured, ensuring the stability of the target against the ongoing wind conditions.
Additionally, UAS RGB images were successfully acquired, providing valuable data for our analysis. The weather conditions today were notably windy, with wind speeds ranging from 7-8 m/sec and gusts reaching up to 10 m/sec from the north. Despite the wind, the skies remained clear, providing excellent visibility for our operations.
The 2.4×25 m targets remain in good condition, demonstrating their resilience and the effectiveness of our recent enhancements, including the addition of the third rope for stability. Overall, the day’s activities proceeded smoothly, and the targets are well-prepared for future overpasses and data collection efforts.
